After knowing I had believed in Almighty God, the priest and people from my original church often came to my home to disturb and obstruct me and every time they left very late. My husband was very unhappy because they would often disturb his rest, so every time they left, he would give me a dirty look. My life was disturbed by this so that I had no peace and I felt great pain inside.

Once, the priest and Brother Chen from my previous church came to my house to talk to me again. I didn’t know what way they would use to disturb and obstruct me, so I was very afraid, thinking: “I’ve only accepted Almighty God’s work for a short time and I understand few truths; if I can’t bear witness to God then, I will not have a testimony in the eyes of God.” So I prayed to God within, “O God, today’s situation is set up by You and is allowed by You. I only ask You to give me confidence and strength, bestow wisdom upon me and protect me to stand witness and resist their disturbances.” When they arrived, they presented many evil teachings and fallacies to deceive me, but thanks to God’s guidance and protection, I contradicted all of them with God’s words. I saw that fallacies couldn’t stand firm before the truth. Later in our discussion, a brother said angrily, “The Almighty God you believe in is just an ordinary man. Don’t believe in Him anymore.” Hearing his words, I felt very disgusted and angry inside, thinking: “You do not seek or investigate the work of Almighty God in the last days but sin through your words. You do not have a heart of reverence for God at all.” So I said excitedly to him, “Brother, you haven’t come in contact with The Church of Almighty God nor have you sought and studied the words expressed by Almighty God, but just make blind judgments. This doesn’t conform with the Lord’s teachings! You say that Almighty God is an ordinary man; then when the Lord Jesus came to work 2000 years ago, didn’t He work in the form of a man among men? If we lived in that time, wouldn’t we also deny the incarnate Christ just like the Pharisees? Almighty God’s words clearly explain the truth of the incarnation. His word says, ‘For God to be incarnated, He must first be flesh, flesh with normal humanity; this is the most basic prerequisite. In fact, the implication of God’s incarnation is that God lives and works in the flesh, God in His very essence becomes flesh, becomes a man.’ ‘The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood but is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself.’ In outward appearance, the incarnate God looks like an ordinary, normal man, but He can express God’s disposition, all that God has and is. According to our needs, He can express truth to supply our life and save us at any time and place. Just like the Lord Jesus Christ, from the outside, He looks like an ordinary, normal person but He can perform signs and miracles, such as calming the wind and sea, feeding five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fish, raising the dead and so on; He can also express the truth, provide man with the way of repentance and do the work of redeeming all mankind through crucifixion. The Lord Jesus’ words and work are a manifestation of God’s life disposition and all that God has and is. Now, like the Lord Jesus, Christ of the last days—Almighty God is also the practical God incarnate. He can express all the truth which we need to supply us at any time and place; He has also expressed millions of words and performed His work of judging, cleansing and saving mankind in the last days. This work cannot be done by any created being and cannot be done by any man in His stead. So, if we only see Christ’s normal humanity, we will be apt to treat Him as an ordinary person.”

After I finished fellowshiping with them, they not only couldn’t accept but said more words which twisted the facts. Brother Chen took out a little booklet that was known for resistance to Eastern Lightning, asked me to read it and told me, “You need to believe what this little booklet says; it is all true.” When he finished saying this, they turned and walked away. Seeing they didn’t accept the truth but hated it, I thought some words in the Bible, “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist” (2 John 1:7). “Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God” (1 John 4:2). Through this environment, I clearly saw that they were not people who truly believed in God or loved the truth at all. The root of their resistance to God was decided by their nature and substance of resisting and hating the truth and God. I threw the little booklet away and didn’t even look at it.

A few days later, the priest and people from my previous church came again to disturb me. Seeing I couldn’t be bound by biblical knowledge, they switched to being soft, wanting to take advantage of emotions to destroy me. This time, a sister and the priest’s wife came to me. The priest’s wife said, “Xiaochen, I see that you are very thirsty and devout, but after all, your stature is still small. I’m older than you, so I have a responsibility to bring you before the heavenly Father and I cannot stand to see you walk down the wrong path and being deceived. Only our churches are the orthodox Christian Church.” At that moment, the sister beside her also said, “Right. You see, after you believed in Almighty God, your relationship with your husband became bad. All we are doing in our belief in the Lord is seeking family peace and harmony but not family disharmony.” After I heard their words, a rage flared up inside of me. I thought, “Who causes our relationship to be bad after all? You come to my home to disturb me again and again, which has disturbed our normal life. Moreover, every time after you came, my husband would become unhappy, give me a nasty look and scold me. Clearly, it is you who cause our relationship to become disharmonious. But you actually say it is caused by my belief in Almighty God. Isn’t this confounding right and wrong?” So I said, “When I have contact with the brothers and sisters from The Church of Almighty God, no matter what difficulties I encounter, they will fellowship with me about the truth and ask me to practice God’s word and live out a normal humanity. They are not like you at all. You keep uttering some words which condemn others and confound right and wrong. Moreover, every time my husband heard your words, he would quarrel with me. Your behaviors and deeds have not the decency of a Christian at all and are destroying our relationship!” Hearing my words, they changed their expressions in an instant and angrily said to me, “Let’s sing hymns, read the Bible and make a prayer.” I thought to myself: “Woe to you blind guides. In the past, I didn’t possess the truth and couldn’t distinguish your behaviors and deeds. Now, I will not follow you to resist God.” So I refused. In the end, they left angrily.

Afterward, I saw God’s words, “Those who read the Bible in grand churches recite the Bible every day, yet not one understands the purpose of God’s work. Not one is able to know God; moreover, not one is in accord with the heart of God. They are all worthless, vile men, each standing on high to teach God. Though they brandish the name of God, they willfully oppose Him. Though they label themselves believers of God, they are ones who eat the flesh and drink the blood of man. All such men are devils who devour the soul of man, head demons who purposefully disturb those who try to step onto the right path, and stumbling blocks that impede the path of those who seek God. Though they are of ‘robust flesh,’ how are their followers to know that they are antichrists who lead man in opposition to God? How are they to know that they are living devils who specially seek souls to devour?” God’s words made me see through the facts and truth of the religious leaders resisting and opposing God: They are believers and servers of God in name but actually they do not care about the growth of the spiritual lives of the brothers and sisters. The churches have been desolate, yet they don’t lead us believers to seek the truth and find a church that has the work of the Holy Spirit; instead, they control us firmly in the palm of their hands. When seeing that God comes to do His work, expresses the truth and gives people life, they not only don’t seek or accept it but continue to resist and condemn it while preventing us from searching for the true way. Are their behaviors and deeds not resisting God? Are they not the evil servants that the Lord Jesus spoke of? Are they not the modern-day Pharisees? They are stopping at nothing to obstruct us from accepting God’s salvation in the last days and drag us into hell, causing us to lose God’s salvation in the last days. Apparently, they are wolves in sheepskin and are precisely the antichrists exposed by God’s work in the last days. When I saw through their essence, I detested and rejected them from the bottom of my heart and even more had the determination to follow God. Afterward, they came to my home several times. When I was not deceived and restricted by them, they no longer came.

Thanks be to God. It was God’s word that guided me to overcome Satan’s temptations step by step and see through Satan’s tricks. Moreover, I have seen that God’s word is the foundation of my life and is the truth, the way, and the life. All the glory be to Almighty God! Amen!
